April 16, 5th Annual Celebration of International Youth Literature & International Children's Book Day at Rutgers

The Day of the International Children’s Book is celebrated throughout the world on April 2. For the past 5 years at Rutgers we have made the day our own – using the event to celebrate the many languages and cultures of our community. (we also fee free to adjust the date itself to our academic schedule).
Join us in person or via Zoom on April 16 on the fourth floor of Alexander Library from 4-6 p.m.
We listen as stories are read, depicted in art, sung, danced in their original languages – with context or translation so all can follow. This is a chance to glory in the sounds of many languages, the tales of many cultures, the wit, humor, insight, experiences of many peoples.
In a time when nationalism, politics, heated conflict, protests are dividing us, splitting us into camps who never speak, come join us as we celebrate all of us, and all of our heritages, together.
Want to be a participant? We’d love to include you. Want to attend, here how: ·
