The Department of Library and Information Science (LIS) at the School of Communication and Information (SC&I) at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, attended the 2017 biennial conference of the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) in Baltimore on March 22-25, 2017.
SC&I is proud of our faculty and Ph.D. students' participation in the conference. Ph.D. Program Director Marie Radford and LIS Doctoral Students Stephanie Mikitish and Vanessa Kitzie were among those in attendance.
The three co-authored a competitive paper titled, “Crowd Sourced Reference: Steering into Unchartered Waters?”
Kitzie and Mikitish also co-authored an invited paper (with two additional authors) titled, “Changing Tack: A Future-Focused ACRL Research Agenda.”
The ACRL Conference is held every other year and provides college librarians with an “opportunity to access the best information, discover new ideas, and stay at the forefront of the profession.”
