
Meredith Reese is the Senior Manager of IT Services for the Los Angeles Philharmonic, a lecturer for digital asset management at the UCLA Graduate School of Information Studies, and a consultant in the field of digital asset management. She oversees the LA Phil’s digital asset management system and projects related to improving media asset management, file management, and metadata best practices across the organization. In the past, she helped implement successful digital archives strategies for Mattel, Walt Disney Studios, and the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences. Reese started her career in film and television post-production, and was Manager of Archives, Metadata and Asset Management at HBO. She holds an MA degree from UCLA with a specialization in Moving Image Archives Studies. She serves on the Editorial Board of the Moving Image, a Journal for Moving Image Archivists, and is active in several charitable organizations in Los Angeles to eradicate childhood poverty.
