Joe Yankus is a Senior Instructional Designer at Teaching and Learning with Technology, an instructional design unit at Rutgers University. His primary duties include serving as project manager for all non-credit course design projects, managing partnerships with Coursera & New Jersey School Board Association, training faculty and staff on the use of Canvas, collaborating with faculty and staff to design and launch fully online, hybrid, and face-to-face credit and non-credit courses, and preaching general best practices for teaching both online and face-to-face. He also collaborates with his unit’s New Media Center to help faculty create engaging and effective multimedia content for their courses. Prior to arriving at Rutgers, Yankus spent eight years at Seton Hall University, where he earned his B.A. in Communication Studies & Sociology and his M.A. in Instructional Design & Technology, and held various positions in IT, staff training, and the University Libraries.
