Several SC&I faculty members participated in the 3rd annual Cancer Health Equity Center of Excellence conference held virtually on June 27-28, 2022.
Day one included a welcome, keynotes, flash talks, multiple breakout sessions, awards, and recognitions.
Professor of Communication Itzhak Yanovitzky, Ph.D., was one of the keynote speakers, His keynote was titled, Strategies for Communication with Lay Audiences About Science.
Assistant Professor of Communication, Yonaira Rivera, Ph.D., MPH, was on the conference planning committee and was a co-moderator on the breakout session, Cancer Communication & Misinformation.
Kathryn Greene, Ph.D., MA, Professor, Department of Communication, was a co-moderator on the Fostering Bi-directional Communication Between Scientists and Communities breakout session.
Day two featured a community engagement workshop and an examination of what is community engaged research and CBPR.
