Rutgers, School of Communication and Information is well represented at ALA 2017.

The School of Communication and Information, (SC&I) Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, will be in attendance at ALA 2017 in Chicago from June 22-27, 2017.

SC&I faculty will be supporting the ALISE/LIS Cooperative Alumni Reunion on Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Swissotel Hotels & Resorts, Room Edelweiss. We invite all SC&I students, alumni and friends to stop by our booth, #4942, during exhibit hours. Master of Information (MI) Program Director, Lilia Pavlovsky will be on hand to answer questions at the booth. 

Additionally, Marc Aronson, Assistant Teaching Professor, will participate in a panel titled, “The World at Your Fingertips: How to Use Global Literature in Translation in Library Programs” on Saturday, June 24 from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. in McCormick Place, W187b.

Marie Radford, Ph.D. Professor and Director, Ph.D. Program, Communication, Information and Library Studies, Rutgers University, co-researchers: Vanessa Kitzie, Ph.D. Alumna (2017), Rutgers University, Lynn Silipigni Connaway, OCLC, Diana Floegel, Ph.D. Student, Rutgers University will present, "Is it a journal title, or what?" Mitigating microaggressions in virtual reference on Sunday, June 25 from 10:30 -11:30 a.m. in MCP W180, New Discoveries in Reference: RUSA/RSS 23rd Annual Reference Research Forum.

Charles Senteio, Assistant Professor of Library and Information Science, will participate in “Leaders Wanted: LIS Doctoral Options Fair” on Saturday, June 24 from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The event is sponsored by the ALA Office for Diversity, Literacy and Outreach Services.
