SC&I faculty member Marc Aronson, a co-creator of the International Youth Literature Collection at the Alexander Library, said, “this acquisition is significant, because these are the first children's books ever written and published in Lao.” The donation will be celebrated on the annual “Day of the International Children's Book,” event at Alexander Library on April 1, 2022.

“Every day I have the opportunity to introduce a child or teen to the book their heart needs,” Squicciarini said.

Through the Gender and Media Minor, Rutgers students learn to examine gendered power dynamics and representations in media and modern culture; critique current conditions of media production and consumption; express their own viewpoint through the high-quality media they will produce; and help bring about social justice and equality in gender relations.

In the Digital Communication, Information, and Media Minor, students develop digital skills, create a portfolio of digital projects that relate to their interests and professional goals; and prepare to lead in digital environments in every industry.

A new five-part video education series, “Curbside Manner: Health Beyond the Hospital,” has been created by RWJBarnabas Health.
