PeduL: Creating Equal Access to High-Impact Jobs

Founded by alumni Kayla Michele ‘17 and Chisa Egbelu ‘16, PeduL “harnesses tailored corporate scholarships to match underrepresented students with the internships and career opportunities that best meet employers’ needs.” PeduL recently received a grant from Google, and they have also recently been invited to join one of most successful accelerators in the country, Techstars.

Joe Strupp, a reporter for the Asbury Park Press and SC&I part time lecturer, who has published a new book exploring the unsolved murder of Carol Ann Farino in 1966, describes the challenges involved in reporting on true crime.

Reporting on Violent Crime: Lessons from “A Long Walk Home”

Date: December 23, 2021

Carol Ann Farino was murdered in Maplewood, N.J. in 1966 and her killer has still not been caught. In his new book about the case, Joe Strupp, a reporter for the Asbury Park Press and SC&I part time lecturer, explores the murder and its aftermath, and describes the challenges involved in reporting on true crime.
