Journalism and Media Studies undergraduates will report on political and social affairs in Italy for the third summer in a row, during SC&I’s summer 2019 “Global Journalism in Bologna, Italy” program.
Kumanikya, whose podcast, Uncivil, won a Peabody Award in 2017 for an episode titled “The Raid,” is now teaching a podcasting course at SC&I. In his course students learn how podcasting is a form of narrative journalism, requiring writing, research, and other critical skills that go beyond sound and technology.
The American Public Health Association (APHA) Aging in Public Health section has awarded Honorable Mention for the Betty J. Cleckley Minority Issues Research Award to a paper co-authored by Charles Senteio, Assistant Professor of Library and Information science.
