Seventeen recent graduates from the Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Advanced Creative Operations certificate programs at Rutgers School of Communication and Information Continuing and Professional Studies (CPS) were honored at the semi-annual Stepping Stone Dinner on October 22 in New York City. The event brought together CPS staff, instructors, and industry partners to celebrate the graduates’ achievements. Attendees traveled nationwide to mark this significant milestone in their professional growth within the DAM and Creative Operations programs.

“As we celebrate the fifth anniversary of our pioneering Digital Asset Management certificate programs and with the launch this September of the Advanced Creative Operations certificate —the first of their kind globally—the Stepping Stone Dinner serves as a testament to the dedication and growth of our graduates and the community created for these professionals here at Rutgers,” said Julie Johnson, Ed.D., CPS Director. “This event is more than a celebration; it’s an opportunity to foster professional connections and recognize the graduates’ commitment to advancing in the DAM and Creative Operations fields. A highlight of the evening is the pinning ceremony, where graduates receive their Rutgers DAM Bronze or Silver pins—symbols of their achievements and the next chapter in their professional journeys.”

Digital Asset Management Bronze Certificate

The six-month Digital Asset Management (DAM) Bronze Certificate program bridges library science and information technology, offering a comprehensive understanding of DAM operations and integration to support effective implementation. This inaugural program addresses the growing demand for highly skilled professionals to meet the needs of diverse industries in an increasingly digital world. Rutgers’ DAM community spans the globe and various industries, fostering a robust network of professionals equipped to meet marketplace demands.

Silver Certificates Expand Portfolios with Specialized Learning
In 2024, CPS introduced a series of Silver Certificate programs, each offering in-depth learning through highly focused, 12-week courses, all delivered in the same online and asynchronous format.
