Rutgers SC&I Highlights Innovative Research at 2025 National Communication Association Conference

The National Communication Association (NCA) will host its 111th Annual Convention from November 20–23, 2025, near Denver, Colorado, with pre-conference sessions on November 19. The theme is “Communicate to Elevate,” and organizers expect over 4,000 scholars, educators, and professionals from around the world to attend research presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities.

2025 #BeCOMM Talk Show to Celebrate the SC&I Communication Major

Held on October 22 at The Yard on College Avenue, the event will feature interviews with Communication major alums including television advertising and beauty industry marketing executives, social media influencer marketers, healthcare communication professionals, and other guests.

Faculty, Alumni, and Doctoral Students to Present at International Communication Association 75th Annual Conference

Marking ICA’s 75th anniversary, this year’s conference centers on the theme “Disrupting and Consolidating Communication Research.” The theme encourages reflection on the evolution of communication studies and the association’s role in shaping its trajectory. Through panels and sessions, participants will explore how the field is adapting to technological advances, social transformation, and institutional challenges.

SC&I Scholars Advanced Community-Engaged Health Communication at 8th Biennial D.C. Health Communication Conference

SC&I Professor Kathryn Greene co-led a workshop on health communication CBPR, which was offered twice during the three-day event. Associate Professor Matthew Matsaganis and Associate Professor Lisa Mikesell presented collaborative based on community partnerships in New Jersey and Greece. Asssociate Professor Maria Venetis contributed with a poster session and served as a reviewer.
