The classes fulfill a variety of core curriculum requirements for SAS and other schools and can be double-counted for both the Gender and Media and Digital Communications, Information and Media (DCIM) minors.
The Gender and Media minor complements every major across the Rutgers academic spectrum and provides you with the ability to use media to positively impact a culture that is highly reflective of mass media viewpoints.
Students admitted to a SC&I major who later feel that a different major would be a better choice can apply to change majors during our admissions process each semester.
Current Rutgers University students can apply to the School of Communication and Information (SC&I) to pursue an undergraduate major in Communication, Information Technology and Informatics, Journalism and Media Studies
Teaching and Graduate Assistantships are available to highly qualified students. In most cases, students applying by January 5th are considered automatically for these positions as part of the admissions process.
