Financial Aid Information

Teaching and Graduate Assistantships are available to highly qualified students. In most cases, students applying by January 5th are considered automatically for these positions as part of the admissions process.

MCM 5+ Year Program

Rutgers SC&I Communication and Journalism & Media Studies majors can apply for the Master of Communication and Media program in their junior or senior year as part of the Five Year dual-degree BA/MCM program option.

MCM Degree Requirements

The Master of Communication and Media program is self-paced and consists of 36 credits, including five core courses and eight electives. Choose from seven specializations. You must earn 30 credits within the program and may transfer up to six credits.

MCM Specializations

MCM specializations include Communication and Media Research, Communication and Media Studies, Corporate Purpose and Social Impact, Digital Media (online), Health Communication, Public Relations, and Strategic Organizational and Leadership Communication.
