Information Technology and Informatics Admissions

Before you can apply to the IT & Informatics major, you must first meet these requirements:

• Complete College Writing (01:355:101), or College Writing Extended (01:355:104), or an equivalent course with a grade of C or better. 

• Complete at least 15 credits at Rutgers (or have at least 15 transfer credits to Rutgers), with at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average.

• Complete the introductory IT & Informatics major course: 04:189:103 Information Technology and Informatics with a grade of C or better.

IT & Informatics students have many options for minors from the list of SAS minors.. In addition to the SAS options, SC&I offers three minors:

• Digital Communication and Information
• Gender and Media Studies
• Data Science 

Based on graduation from recent years, these are the most popular minors for ITI students:
