Dione Surdez is a digital asset management implementation manager and archivist-in-residence for Origami Air Co; a librarian and digital projects manager for LA County Library; and a Continuing and Professional Studies* (CPS) instructor in the Digital Asset Management (DAM) Bronze Certificate program at Rutgers SC&I. Before becoming an instructor, Surdez, who holds a Master of Management in Library and Information Science (MMLIS), earned both the DAM Bronze Certificate and DAM Silver Certificate.

The Professional Development Studies Department at Rutgers University’s School of Communication and Information (SC&I) has changed its name to Continuing and Professional Studies (CPS). The revised nomenclature more precisely describes the scope of the non-degree offerings available within the department as it expands its program offerings in the coming months.
SC&I’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) certificate program marks its third anniversary this fall; it is more relevant than ever. Organizations daily amass an ever-increasing amount of digital assets—content stored in a digital file format—including images, photographs, videos, audio/music files, graphics, animations, illustrations, and more.
