SC&I Celebrates Honors Day 2017
The SC&I Honors Day celebration, which has been an annual tradition for nine years, was held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 5, at the Brower Commons Dining Room on College Avenue.

The Kappa Tau Alpha (KTA) Spring Dinner was held in the Livingston Dining Commons in early May. The dinner serves as a spring business meeting for the honor society. Professor Juan Gonzalez gave a rousing speech that touched on the roles of technology, truth, and integrity in journalism and the importance of covering the issues and stories that often go uncovered.
Journalism and Media Studies undergraduate Angelica Morales has been awarded a $2,500 U.S. State Department-funded Gilman Scholarship, to study in JMS' new global journalism program in Bologna, Italy.
Nothing beats knowing that the journey one has started is coming to a successful end. Only 8.9 percent of Americans hold a master’s degree, and now three of our Master of Communication and Information (MCIS) (now known as Master of Communication and Media (MCM)) students can add their names to this list, as they presented their last presentations on May 3, 2017.
The School of Communication and Information (SC&I) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, will hold its graduation ceremony for all of its students earning degrees in 2017. SC&I’s Convocation will take place on May 11 from 3-5 p.m. in the Louis Brown Athletic Center (RAC) on the Livingston Campus.
