Montague hopes to promote further collaboration between public librarians and social workers as she observes Rutgers’ first Masters of Social Work (MSW) intern, Sandra Burstyn, at the East Brunswick Public Library. Burstyn was placed there as a result of an existing collaboration between the School of Communication and Information, The School of Social Work, and the East Brunswick Public Library.

Students admitted to a SC&I major who later feel that a different major would be a better choice can apply to change majors during our admissions process each semester.
Before you can apply to any of SC&I’s three undergraduate majors, you must first meet these requirements.
SC&I admits students to majors during the fall, spring and summer semesters. Specific application cycle deadlines are posted each semester.
Current Rutgers University students can apply to the School of Communication and Information (SC&I) to pursue an undergraduate major in Communication, Information Technology and Informatics, Journalism and Media Studies
Teaching and Graduate Assistantships are available to highly qualified students. In most cases, students applying by January 5th are considered automatically for these positions as part of the admissions process.
