The School of Communication and Information has been granted continued accreditation for the Master of Information (MI) program through fall 2025 from ALA/COA.

Professor Marie L. Radford, Ph.D., is resuming her previous role as Department Chair for the Library and Information Science (LIS) Department at the School of Communication and Information (SC&I).

Associate Professor of Library and Information Science Chirag Shah has received a $100,000 grant from Amazon to pursue research on his project “Addressing Cold Start Problem in Personalization and Recommendation Using Proactive Information Retrieval.”

The Geneva Trialogue brought together leaders from academia, the United Nations, and the private sector to collaborate in the development of specific initiatives that support U.N. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in education.

SC&I faculty travels to Seattle, Washington to attend the 2019 American Library Association’s Midwinter Meeting and Exhibits from January 25-January 29 at the Washington State Convention Center.

The renovated spaces are not only beautiful -- they will provide enhanced and revitalized areas for research, study, collaboration, and relaxation for SC&I faculty, students, staff, and visitors.

Steve Miller, Director of Undergraduate Studies in Journalism and Media Studies, was recently accepted into the Rutgers Alumni Association’s Loyal Sons and Daughters of Rutgers for exemplary service to the University.
