The Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) will host its 88th Annual Meeting November 14–18, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City near Washington, D.C., with a virtual satellite meeting December 11–12. This year’s theme, “Difficult Conversations: The Role of Information Science in the Age of Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence,” invites the field to grapple with the social, ethical, and human implications of AI.

Keynote Spotlight

The meeting opens on Sunday, November 16, with a keynote by John Symons, professor of Philosophy and courtesy professor of Computer Science at the University of Kansas and director of the Center for Cyber Social Research. His talk, “Artificially Intelligent Agents, Domain Specificity and Inquiry,” will examine how domain contexts shape the design and oversight of AI agents.
