SC&I's Office of Student Services provides academic, personal, and career support and student engagement opportunities to undergraduate degree, graduate degree, and non-degree students in SC&I academic programs.

In addition to supporting students, the Office of Student Services provides ongoing administrative support to the academic departments and faculty in SC&I for student-related issues, including special permission assignments, special projects, and resolving enrollment problems.

Undergraduate advisors strongly encourage students to seek assistance virtually during add/drop and preregistration. Student questions and concerns can be handled more efficiently by visiting our advising live chat, calling the office at 848-932-7550, or by emailing the undergraduate advising team at undergrad@comminfo.rutgers.edu.

Undergraduate students who have general questions or need academic information can visit LiveChat to connect with an undergraduate advisor. Do not include personal information, as the LiveChat display is public.

AdobeConnect Undergraduate LiveChat is available during the following days and hours of the add/drop and pre-registration periods:

• Monday: 9-11:30 a.m. & 1:30-4:30 p.m.
• Tuesday: 9-11:30 a.m. & 1:30-4:30 p.m.
• Wednesday: 9-11:30 a.m. & 1:30-4:30 p.m.
• Thursday: 9-11:30 a.m. & 1:30-4:30 p.m.

SC&I academic advising will continue to be offered both remotely and in person, allowing our students the greatest extent of flexibility. Students can book an appointment with an undergraduate SC&I advisor, visit the office (CI-214) during our drop-in advising hours, or call or email us.

Students can schedule an academic advising appointment using the SC&I Appointment Scheduler at https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/sci-sss@comminfo.rutgers.edu/bookings/ .Students who schedule academic advising appointments may have the option of an in-person session or a virtual session based on the availability of academic advisors.

In-person drop-in advising in CI-214 is available during the following days/times (after the add/drop and preregistration period):

• Monday: 9-11:30 a.m. & 2-4 p.m.
• Tuesday: 9-11:30 a.m. & 2-4 p.m.
• Wednesday: 2-4 p.m.
• Thursday: 9-11:30 a.m. & 2-4 p.m.
• Friday: 9-11:30 a.m. & 2- 4 p.m.

When emailing or calling SC&I Student Services, please allow up to 24 hours for a response due to high student volume. Throughout the semester, graduate student services staff will be available via email, phone, and in-person. Due to the high student volume and limited waiting area, we strongly encourage graduate students to seek academic assistance and support via email or phone.

Support for Rutgers-wide computing is provided by the University Helpdesk Website.

The university also gives access to computer labs around the various campuses for student use.

Several computer labs are in SC&I buildings. The labs have desktop computers, sophisticated software, and printers. Hours are posted at the door to each lab and announced via the SC&I_ANNOUNCE listserv.
