SC&I's Office of Student Services provides academic, personal, and career support and student engagement opportunities to undergraduate and graduate degree and non-degree students in SC&I academic programs.
In addition to supporting students, the Office of Student Services provides ongoing administrative support to the academic departments and faculty in SC&I. The Student Services office offers assistance with managing special permission numbers, monitoring course enrollments, and proctoring make-up exams and assignments.
Student Services staff will follow university safety guidelines and recommendations for masking and social distancing throughout the Spring 2022 semester.
Advising During the Pre-registration Period
Undergraduate advisors will be available remotely during the Fall 2022 Pre-registration period (April 4 – April 12) through the AdobeConnect Undergraduate LiveChat. Undergraduate students who have general questions or need academic information can visit the LiveChat to connect with an undergraduate advisor. SC&I academic advising will be offered both remotely and in person. However, in-person academic advising will be available by appointment only; we can not accommodate in-person, walk-in advising during this time.
Students can schedule an academic advising appointment using the SC&I Appointment Scheduler at https://firstname.lastname@example.org/bookings/ Students who schedule academic advising appointments may have the option of an in-person session or a virtual session based on the availability of academic advisors.
Students attending an in-person advising appointment must show a “Cleared for Entry” campus pass for the day of their appointment. If your appointment is in-person, please check in at the time of your appointment by calling the office (848-932-7550) to let us know that you have arrived; your academic advisor will notify you when to come into the office.
On-demand advising (formerly ‘walk-in advising’) will be done remotely by video or phone. Throughout the Spring 2022 semester, on-demand advising will be available regularly via the AdobeConnect Undergraduate LiveChat during the following hours, Monday through Friday:

Any undergraduate students who contact the SC&I Student Services office will receive academic advising if there is an appointment available for that day. If there is not an appointment available, students can access the on-demand advising chat to speak with an academic advisor or they can access the SC&I advising appointment scheduler to schedule an academic advising appointment. The QR codes to the virtual chat and to the appointment scheduler will be posted on the door of the SC&I Student Services office (CI – 214) for your convenience. Students attending an in-person appointment must show a “Cleared for Entry” campus pass for the day of their appointment.

The university also gives access to computer labs around the various campuses for student use.
Several computer labs are in SC&I buildings. The labs have desktop computers, sophisticated software, and printers. Hours are posted at the door to each lab and announced via the SC&I_ANNOUNCE listserv.
