Payment and Student Accounting

Viewing Your Term Bill

Rutgers no longer mails term bills to your home address. Use the Student Accounting website to access accounts and determine when bills are due. Students can view semester charges based on registration and financial credits applied to an individual’s account.

Each semester students must confirm attendance at the University by paying the term bill. By confirming attendance, students agree to pay the account balance in full. If a balance is not paid, students must accept the responsibility to pay all collection costs, which may include, but are not limited to, late fees, costs of collections, attorney’s fees and litigation costs.

Students can learn more about their term bill by visiting the Rutgers Office of Student Accounting, Billing and Cashiering and logging into their account.

If a student’s term bill balance is zero, logging in and following the link for “Confirmation of Attendance” can confirm attendance. Please be advised that if aid is reduced or if a student’s charges increase, even after receiving a refund check, students are obligated to pay any outstanding balance.

Rutgers University Tuition Payment Plan

By joining the Rutgers University Tuition Payment Plan (RUTPP) students are able to pay annual term bill charges in convenient monthly payments. Planning early can help in managing college term bill payments with a monthly household budget, which helps students avoid the large, lump sum payment due before the beginning of each semester. Students can choose the number of months over which to spread installment payments, and the installment period is interest free. There is a $50.00 enrollment fee to join the plan. This fee is non-refundable and due at the time of enrollment.

Fully-Online MI Students

In 2012, Rutgers University agreed to deliver fully online degree programs on a national scale and successfully compete with well-established online providers. The Rutgers Office of Student Accounting, Billing, and Cashiering has an area devoted to payment for fully online students, which can assist with managing student accounts.
