A farmer’s daughter hailing from Hammonton, New Jersey, the “blueberry capital of the world,” Joyce DeStasio’s always had a love for literature and education. While she’s currently the outreach librarian at Stockton University’s Bjork Library in Galloway, NJ, librarianship wasn’t always her path.

Cheyenne Riehl MI’21, BS’18 is putting her Rutgers education to wonderful use. Currently the Student Success Librarian at Stockton University in Galloway, New Jersey, Riehl shares the circuitous route that led her to her dream job.

Born and bred in New Jersey, he earned his Master of Information from SC&I in 2022 and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Diplomacy and International Relations at Seton Hall. Murphy holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from American University and has studied at King’s College London and New York University.
Christina Steffy MLIS’11 spent 13 years working in libraries after completing her degree at Rutgers SC&I. She started as a solo librarian at a small nursing school in Pottsville, Pa., then moved to the Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences as the manager of library support services.
