Jay Liebowitz, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer at Princeton Lightwave, was in search of some interns well-versed in digital marketing to help him reposition his company as a leading supplier of technology for driverless cars. He contacted SC&I in the hopes of finding some valuable talent and posted his internship opportunity on SC&I's Career Services website.

SC&I’s Danielle Raabe ’17, a communication major, was awarded the Spirit of Rutgers Award at the Chancellor’s Student Leadership Gala. Next fall, she will use her leadership skills as a Master of Communication and Media student at SC&I, under the Strategic Organizational Communication track.
Rutgers School of Communication and Information (SC&I) Master of Communication and Media student Shravan Regret Iyer was awarded a scholarship by the Smithsonian Institute to attend their conference, the "Earth Optimism Summit," in Washington, D.C. held from April 21-23, 2017. Iyers presented “Citizen Journalism and Environment Conservation.”
Many of SC&I’s faculty and students will soon be headed west to attend the 67th Annual Conference of the International Communication Association (ICA). The conference, themed “Interventions: Communication Research and Practice” will be held in San Diego from May 25–29.
Nothing beats knowing that the journey one has started is coming to a successful end. Only 8.9 percent of Americans hold a master’s degree, and now three of our Master of Communication and Information (MCIS) (now known as Master of Communication and Media (MCM)) students can add their names to this list, as they presented their last presentations on May 3, 2017.
