The 75th Annual International Communication Association (ICA) Conference will be held from June 12 to 16, 2025, in Denver, Colorado, with pre-conference events beginning on June 10. Key areas of discussion will include the dual role of communication research as a catalyst for disruption and as a foundation for stability, the impact of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, and the pressures of conducting meaningful scholarship in today’s academic landscape. Rather than viewing disruption and consolidation as oppositional forces, the conference aims to examine how they intersect to shape the future of the field.
The SC&I reception will be held on Saturday, June 14, from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Granite Room at the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center. Lauren Feldman will serve as reception chair, and Amy Jordan is the event organizer.
As SC&I continues its mission to advance inclusive, interdisciplinary scholarship, this milestone conference provides a meaningful platform for its scholars to help shape the next chapter in communication research.
